Taping
For some years now there have been 2 types of tape. The original tape is McConnell tape and is rigid. The newer tape is Kinesiotape, which is elastic.
Kinesiotape
Kinesiotape (kinesiological tape) is the modern elastic tape made from cotton without any medication added. It works on the body by means of the pull it exerts through the skin on the receptors (nerve endings in the skin) and the fascia (a sort of second skin directly over your muscles).
Pain and discomfort are often reduced. The daily routine and training become easier in time.
Kinesiotape is always used as a supportive strategy, but never as therapy alone. Kinesiotape can be refunded by your insurance.

McConnell tape is the good old (mostly white) tape we know. Because it is rigid it can be used to inhibit movements and support joints. This tape is also always used as a supportive strategy, but never as therapy alone. McConnell tape can be refunded by your insurance.
